From Dark Nights: Metal, The Merciless is a member of the Dark Knights and was created when Batman wore the helmet of Ares to kill the god of war attempting to avenge the death of Wonder Woman, but the power of the helmet was too powerful and Batman was corrupted. Statue has been opened, checked, and put out of display.
